This baby blanket is the best gift ever for baby! Giving a handmade gift is special for the giver and receiver. Gift-making for babies is always fun and usually takes less time to complete. Let me introduce you to a pattern I tried out a few years ago. I had some yarn in my stash I thought needed a purpose and browsed through Ravelry for some ideas.
The Leafy Baby Blanket Pattern is free (Link Here). It has both written directions and a chart. It is fairly easy to follow. It’s also fairly easy to change up yarn weight and blanket size by simply making a few gauge samples. The pattern calls for DK 100% cotton yarn and knit with 2 strands. I have always chosen to use a cotton/rayon blend and knit with only one strand. I love how it drapes and wraps around the baby with ease. This last blanket was made with Coboo by Lion Brand.
I don’t have pictures of the original blanket I knitted but here are pictures of my most recent blanket.
