9-Patch Charm Quilt is the first in a series called Simply Classic. I always have charm packs (package of 5″ fabric blocks) or portions of charm packs in my stash and this is such a simple pattern to use them. Our focus today is the classic block: the 9-Patch, simply constructed from 9 blocks of the same size and sewn in 3 rows of 3 blocks. I’ll be honest, this block is so simple you don’t need a pattern. However, having a materials list already calculated for you for 3 sizes of quilts does save planning time. It is a Quick & Easy project.
The sample shown in this article measures 50″ X 50″. The perfect size for a baby quilt or a small throw.
