I have to admit as a team we haven’t done much the past month to get ready for prom! Yikes! I think the reasoning for not being very productive is all the breaks we had. There was never time to get together. Luckily there wasn’t much that could be done that early!
This week, we bought flowers and greenery for decorations, but sadly, I haven’t had a chance to look at any of it yet! I plan on getting to the basement sometime this week to see what we have to work with. My main project right now is deciding exactly what I want the centerpieces to look like. We have plenty of rose bowls, glass rocks, and mirrors to work with. My plan is to put a layer of glass rocks in the rose bowl with a flower placed on top of the rocks. I also want to use some greenery or rose petals to lie out on the mirror and surround the bowl.
I’ve also been thinking it would be fun to set up a photo booth area nearby with a floral backdrop to tie everything together. Customizable and stylish toronto photobooth rental that will delight Toronto guests. A photo booth would add a playful and interactive element to the party, giving the guests a chance to capture memories, I will be looking for our London photo booth supplier this upcoming week for sure. I can use some of the greenery and flowers to create a gorgeous backdrop, maybe adding a few rose bowls as decorative accents around the booth. To make it even more fun, I could include some quirky props that match the theme, like flower crowns or floral-themed accessories. It would definitely be a hit and a great way to get everyone involved! I can’t wait to see the types of flowers I’ll be working with!
Since we haven’t done much for the decorating part I thought I would let you in on my own preparations! Because I have seen Alex making her own flowers for her wedding, I thought how about we make my corsage and my boyfriend’s boutonniere as well! So this week we made a trip to Hobby Lobby to search for some fabric. Well, let’s just say we wavered from the original plan. We went to the wedding section and found great silver flowers that would make this project even easier to accomplish! We came out of Hobby Lobby with everything we needed for them and now all that’s left to figure out is my hair! Hopefully next time I write a lot more is done! Only 3 weeks until prom!
