What Does Bill Blass’ Quote:”When In Doubt Wear Red” Mean?
Red attire has a presence, an energy, and a distinct effect on both the wearer and people who see them. It makes a statement & makes the wearer somehow more happy and confident. So if you aren’t sure what to wear, you just can’t decide – pick something red! It will automatically perk you up and make a style statement. ~YAHOO! Answers
Do you agree with this statement? I say, “YES! When in Doubt Wear Red!” There is nothing like having red in your wardrobe for that pick-me-up solution. It’s better than coffee!!? In fact, I am well-known for my dread of winter weather but my red, long, wool coat gives me the spark to bounce out into the cold with boldness.
Speaking of red, I have a pattern you will love: the Reversible Double Cable Scarf. The sample was knit in a luscious red, fine weight yarn sparingly sprinkled with sequins and boasts of an ever so soft halo. The best attribute of the pattern is having cables on the both sides! Usually when cables are knitted, they appear only on the right side of the fabric and not on the wrong side. This pattern features cables on both sides, which is ideal for scarves. No more worrying about twisting your scarf and having an ugly wrong side showing.
If this is your first time knitting cables, no worries. The instructions are quite simple and cables are not as hard as you might think. Take a look at the pattern details below. Pattern may be purchased from our Grace Elizabeth’s Etsy Shop, Click Here.
Don’t want red, or sequined yarn? Other weights of yarn and size of needles could be experimented with as desired.
