I have had this recipe on my menu planner for a couple of weeks now. Lately I have just been picking 3 dinner recipes per week with 2-3 days of leftovers and 1-2 super quick meals. I feel like just three cooked meals wouldn’t be that difficult to accomplish, but every week it never fails! I either forget to make something or get too busy to take the time. This week was a little better though. Nathan and I made 2 meals in a row! Huge accomplishment for us!!
Nathan loves pasta, especially with Alfredo sauce. We also have this fetish with bacon. The first meal he cooked for me I went home smelling like bacon because his stove didn’t have an exhaust fan and he didn’t open the windows. It made for rather a memorable evening!
When I found the recipe in my Better Homes and Garden Cookbook, I couldn’t pass it up. I mean hello! It had both Alfredo sauce and bacon? Perfect for us! I have never made Alfredo sauce before so I was extremely worried I would mess it up, and… I almost did. However, I didn’t burn it. Before I pulled it off the burner, it overheated which resulted in several lumps.
He says: It was great! (he didn’t even add salt or pepper, which for Nathan is a BIG DEAL)
She says: Better than I expected. The bacon and parsley added the right amount of flavor.
We will definitely be having this meal again!
