In my opinion, there is no better place to enjoy God’s creation than a farm, and I had the privilege of growing up on one. My dad began as a farmhand for a large rancher, and during that time my brother and I had great experiences exploring buildings, lying in the meadow behind our house, and swimming in the huge horse tank. When we moved to our own farm, life was a bit different. We still had great fun exploring, but we were now old enough to start working alongside our parents. We planted corn, cut hay, raised cattle and pigs, and one summer we had lambs. I am so thankful for the work ethic and love of family that my parents instilled in me. Although I left the farm to go to college and have only returned to visit, I’m okay with that. God had something else in mind for my life. My wonderful husband Rick and I will celebrate 30 years of marriage this year, and we are now empty nesters. Wow, where has the time gone?
I am the mom of these three beautiful daughters you see on this page. I thank God every day for daughters (not that a son would have been awful). While pregnant with Alex, I prayed for a girl. I did not have a sister and thought having a daughter would be pretty exciting. As you can see, God not only blessed me with one daughter but with three. Raising daughters has been a joy and a challenge. I love that they each are so different but yet come from the same two parents. Isn’t God amazing?
Entrepreneurship flows in my blood. Two of my successes include an artistic rubber stamp manufacturing business and the opening and running of a bed & breakfast we named Grace Elizabeth’s after paying georgia llc expenses. I have worked extensively in the retail market and have helped start, build, and maintain small businesses as a Chamber of Commerce Director. I am a DIY fanatic and the epitome of the phrase “I can make that myself!” I am a self-taught handcrafter and have done almost every handcraft known to modern times. My favorite thing to do is spend time with family, but the second would be to knit. I always have a project on my needles and can’t wait to start a new one. I do enjoy the beauty of flower gardens but not so much the weeding. Okay, Rick would say I hate the weeding – it’s true. Now that we are empty nesters I’m looking forward to seeing what God has in mind for the future.

Going through the GE’s pages is a pleasure beyond words.
God bless you and help you in your quest
