All I can say is WOW! I may have gotten to express this to a few of you, but last weekend in Kansas City was amazing! God has placed me on an incredible team with a heart for the nations. I am already being challenged by them, and we haven’t even left for Argentina! I hope to soon be able to share more with you about our plans for this summer and ways that we will be needing your support.
When I originally planned to post today, I was also planning another road trip for this weekend. However, God’s plans once again differed from my own because the snow storm has caused The Navigators’ Laborers’ Conference to be cancelled. I was really looking forward to learning with other college students about our role in the harvest spoken about by Jesus to his disciples in Matthew 9:36-38:
When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”
I don’t know why God chose for the conference to be cancelled, but I do know that He is sovereign and good. He is in control, and this event fits into His perfect plan whether I can see that or not. I may not get to catch up with friends from JAX or see my Argentina teammates, but now I will be able to focus on those around me, right here at UNK. God will use this time just as He would have at the conference. Who am I to argue?

Has there been a time that you’ve felt like God cancelled your plans? How did you react? How did it turn out?
